NEW Lightronics RA121 Rack Mount Dimmer

The NEW Lightronics RA121 Rack Mount Dimmer is a 19-inch rack-mount lighting dimmer system designed for installed and portable entertainment lighting, including church, stage, theater, school, night club, live performances, and other event and artistic applications. It combines a processor with 12 dimmer channels rated at 1.2KW each to provide flexible control for conventional lighting loads in a compact rack format.

The RA121 is built for dependable operation in demanding environments. Each dimmer channel is protected by a 10 Amp fast acting magnetic circuit breaker, and heavy duty filtering chokes are used to reduce noise, helping keep dimmed loads quieter and cleaner for production use. Dimmer channel semiconductors exceed a 200% load carrying capacity overhead allowance.

Control Options and Integration

The RA121 may be controlled by DMX-512 controllers for easy integration into common lighting control workflows. It also supports RS-485 and contact closures, making it suitable for installations that use wall remote stations or simple trigger inputs for recalls and cues.

Scenes and Practical Use

For venues that need quick access to looks without a console, the RA121 provides 100 scene memory, supporting repeatable lighting states for services, rehearsals, classes, and performances.
