With built-in circuit breakers and flexible control options, it fits easily into portable rigs, small venues, temporary installs, and production carts where you need dependable dimming without a permanent rack system.

Power Capacity for Real-World Lighting Loads

The AS42DC supports a maximum capacity of 1200 Watts per channel and a maximum total load capacity of 4800 Watts, giving you practical headroom for common 120V fixtures and multi-light setups. It is supplied with 2 input power cord stubs which may be connected to 2 different 120 VAC power phases, helping distribute load across available power when your system design allows.

Control Options and Operating Modes

The unit operates using the USITT DMX-512 protocol or an industry standard three wire multiplex protocol, making it straightforward to integrate with many lighting consoles and control systems. The AS42DC may be operated in a relay (non-dim) mode, which is useful when you need simple on/off switching for compatible loads rather than dimming.

Built-In Chases for Standalone Use

For applications that do not require a console, the unit will also function as a chaser and has several preset chase patterns which may be used, providing quick, repeatable looks for basic effects and simple shows.
