NEW ROBE ROBIN Pointe

The Robe ROBIN Pointe is a compact, super-fast moving head designed for beam, spot, wash, and FX applications where you need a sharp parallel beam that reads clearly in haze and holds up across video. Its output stays crystal clear and brilliant from tight beam looks through a full 20° zoom, making it a flexible choice for concerts, touring rigs, houses of worship, and broadcast-friendly stages.

Beam precision and aerial effects

Project a static or rotating glass gobo to create precise in-air and surface images with an even focal plane. For expanded coverage and layered looks, add either the rotating 6-way linear prism or 8-way circular prism, both rotating in both directions at variable speeds, to build wide-reaching effects across a set without sacrificing beam definition.

Color, frost, and smooth wash capability

Drop in the separate, variable frost filter and use any of the 13 rich colours (plus white) to transition from hard-edged beam/spot looks to a smooth, even wash. This makes quick cueing between punchy aerials and softer coverage practical within a single fixture.

Engineered output in a lightweight body

The Pointe has an output far greater in size, quality and power than seems possible from it's small, lightweight body – due to the efficient short arc 280 W discharge source and the Robe optical configuration. It uses an approved Osram Sirius HRI 280 W RO lamp with automatic and remote on/off control, plus an electronic ballast. Lamp life expectancy is 2,000 hours in Standard mode (280 W) and 3,000 hours in Eco mode (230 W), helping balance brightness and operating cost depending on your show needs.

Motion, control, and integration

With 540° pan and 270° tilt, motorized focus and zoom, and tracking/vector movement control, the ROBIN Pointe is built for fast, repeatable cues. It supports USITT DMX-512 and RDM for standard lighting workflows, plus network control via Art-Net, MA Net, and MA Net2 through its Ethernet port (ready for ACN). Choose from 24, 16, or 30 control channels across three DMX protocol modes to match your console and programming style.

Gobos, dimming, and effects control

The fixture includes a rotating gobo wheel with 9 rotating, indexable, replaceable “SLOT&LOCK” glass gobos plus open, and a static gobo wheel with 14 gobos plus open. Full-range dimming and variable strobe effects are available, with 8- or 16-bit control options for pan/tilt, color positioning, gobo indexing/rotation, zoom, focus, and dimmer to support smooth fades and precise positioning.

Tour-ready operation and connectivity

Onboard setup is handled via the ROBE Navigation System 2 (RNS2) and a QVGA Robe touch screen with battery backup and a gravitation sensor for auto screen positioning. Additional practical tools include operation memory, a service log with RTC, and a built-in analyser for easier fault finding. For I/O, it provides locking 3-pin and 5-pin XLR data in/out, Neutrik PowerCon power input, and supports stand-alone operation with three editable programs (up to 100 steps each).
