Wybron Eclipse II Dowser

The Wybron Eclipse II Dowser is a lightweight, DMX-controlled mechanical dowser designed for the Coloram II System. It slides easily into the gel frame holder of a light fixture, making it a practical way to add smooth dimming and blackout control to non-dimmable lights in theatrical, concert, and event rigs.

Designed for the Coloram II System

The Coloram II System consists of mechanical dowsers, scrolling color changers, gobo changers and power supplies in a complete range of models offering ease of setup and use. The lightweight dowsers and color changers slide easily into the gel frame holder of the light fixture.

DMX Control and Simple Addressing

Each dowser is assigned a DMX address to which it will respond, allowing straightforward integration into a DMX512 lighting workflow. This makes the Eclipse II a solid choice when you need repeatable control from the lighting console for cues, fades, and fast cutoffs.

Power and Control via Coloram II Power Supplies

The compact power supplies attach easily to the truss of the lighting rig or mount into a 19-inch rack. The DMX512 control signal from the lighting board is connected to the power supply and can continue on to more Coloram II Power Supplies or other DMX controlled devices. The power supply sends both power and control signal on a single cable eliminating the need for a separate power cable for each dowser.

Practical Benefits on Non-Dimmable Fixtures

Because it is a mechanical dowser, the Eclipse II can provide dimming and blackout capability where electronic dimming is not available, helping you keep consistent cueing and on-off control across mixed fixture types.
