The Vari*Lite VL3500Q Spot is a 1200W moving head spot luminaire built for productions that need high output with a reduction in noticeable noise compared to the standard VL3500. Designed for theatre, broadcast, and other noise-sensitive environments, it delivers strong brightness, flexible beam control, and clean aerial or projected looks while remaining fully compatible with DMX512 control.
Optics, Color, and Beam Control
A 6:1 zoom optics system lets you move from tighter beams to wider coverage without changing fixtures. Color tools include CYM color mixing, variable CTO color temperature correction for warming the beam as needed, and a six-position color wheel for quick, repeatable color choices. A precision glass reflector system with a dichroic cold mirror coating helps manage heat while maintaining usable output.
Gobos, Effects, and Framing Shutters
For texture and projection, the VL3500Q Spot includes one rotating gobo/effects wheel and one fixed gobo/effects wheel. A four-blade shutter mechanism allows blades to be operated independently or in unison on two planes, making it easy to frame scenery, isolate performers, or sharpen edges for crisp image control.
Dimming, Strobe, and Control
A separate dimmer supports smooth intensity control, and ultra-fast strobe mechanisms provide punchy accents and dynamic effects. The fixture uses DMX512 with 31 DMX channels, making it straightforward to integrate into a wide variety of professional lighting consoles and rigs.
