The NEW City Theatrical 6" Color Extender (Pkg of 4) is designed for ellipsoidal theatrical lighting fixtures to help reduce gel burnout. By moving the gel frame forward, away from the fixture’s focal plane, these extenders can extend gel life and cut down on time spent replacing scorched color.

Why Use a Color Extender?
Incandescent theatrical lights run hot, and gel is expensive to replace. City Theatrical Color Extenders place gel materials in a slot at the front of the unit, forward of the fixture’s focal plane, so the gel sees less heat. In practice, this means longer-lasting color and fewer interruptions for maintenance during rehearsals, hang and focus, or rep plots.
Construction and Finish
Each extender is fabricated from durable cold rolled steel with hemmed edges, and finished in a black powdercoat. This rugged construction is built for regular handling in shops, on catwalks, and on touring rigs.
