The NEW City Theatrical 3" Fresnel Top Hat (Pkg of 12) is a light-control accessory for 3 inch Fresnel fixtures, designed to reduce audience and camera glare and help prevent stray light from spilling onto scenery. Top hats are especially useful when fixture optics are poor or lenses are not well maintained, conditions that can direct unwanted light where it is not needed.

Light Spill and Glare Control

By shielding the bright source from direct view, these top hats can make fixtures less objectionable to the audience and cleaner on camera. They also help shape and contain the beam so light stays on the intended area instead of washing into sightlines or onto nearby surfaces.

Interior Flocking for Reduced Reflection

Black flocked interior is standard on all black top hats and half top hats for maximum reduction of glare and spill. The flocking helps minimize internal reflections that can otherwise bounce light back out of the accessory.
