Built for demanding stage and install workflows

This Proplex DMX cable uses 22 AWG tinned, annealed copper conductors with high-temperature FEP insulation (200° C, 300 V) and a Kevlar strength member to help maintain durability under repeated flexing. A dual-shield design, including an aluminum/mylar inner shield (100% coverage) and tinned copper braid outer shield (85% coverage), helps reduce interference in electrically noisy environments like dimmer racks, power distro, and crowded truss runs.

Signal-focused electrical design

With a characteristic impedance of 80 Ohms and low nominal capacitance (22 pf/ft conductor-to-conductor, 41 pf/ft conductor-to-shield), the cable is engineered for consistent data performance over longer DMX cable runs. Conductivity is rated at 14.5 Ohms (max.) per 1,000 ft. @ 25° C, with nominal inductance of 0.32 uH/ft.

Rugged jacket and handling

The black UV-resistant polyurethane jacket is designed for real-world use, with 0.060 in nominal wall thickness, 550% elongation, and 5,000 psi tensile strength using high-pressure extrusion. The cable’s nominal outside diameter is 0.215 in (5.46 mm) and it maintains a minimum bend radius of 1.3 in to support tight routing while protecting the internal geometry.
