The Clay Paky Scenius Unico is a multifunctional moving head designed for modern productions that need a single fixture to handle crisp gobo projection, smooth wash coverage, and a tight beam look. With a 1400W Osram discharge lamp, 6500 K output color temperature, and very high CRI, it delivers bright, camera-friendly output that stays consistent across a wide range of cues.

Projection, effects, and imaging control

Built as a spot platform for effects and texture, Scenius Unico includes six rotating gobos, a rotating prism, and a graphic animation wheel for motion and layered looks. A focus tracking system helps maintain image clarity through the zoom range, and the 180 mm Ø front lens supports clean, defined projection for both tight and wide compositions.

Zoom range from tight beam to wide wash

The fixture’s 5° to 55° linear zoom lets you shift from a super concentrated narrow beam (down to 5°) to a broad wash field without changing fixtures. For wash applications, the system with different diffusion filters can be inserted gradually, allowing you to soften the beam edge and transition looks smoothly on stage.

Color mixing, framing, and cue-ready performance

Color control includes a CMY system plus linear CTO and a 7-color wheel, giving you both precise mixed colors and fast, repeatable color hits. For shaping, the framing system operates on four focal planes and can rotate 90° for accurate alignment in the rig. A 16-blade fast iris, variable “soft edge” frost, variable flood frost, and very precise 0-100% dimmer support refined fades and dynamic effects, while a fast stop/strobe effect adds punch when needed.

Control and integration

Scenius Unico supports Art-Net and RDM for flexible network control, addressing, and remote fixture management in professional lighting systems. The light can be run at 1400W or 1200W to balance output, power draw, and lamp life based on the needs of the show.
