NEW Clay Paky Tambora Flash

Claypaky Tambora Flash is a hybrid fixture that can act simultaneously as a strobe, wash, and blinder, specifically designed with a modular approach for use in line array, to offer new creative opportunities to lighting designers. Built for concerts and live events, it is engineered to deliver effects that remain clearly visible even in broad daylight.

Following its successful range of LED bars, Claypaky has expanded the Tambora family further and introduced the Tambora Flash.

Strobe Engine: High-Impact White LED Output

The strobe section is based on two strips of very powerful white LEDs and a large beam angle aperture, capable of bringing a real impactful light into the show. The cold white strobe LEDs are rated at 6000 K, with pixel mapping and strobe split into 8 different areas per line (16 total) for segmented chases and more detailed, camera-friendly looks.

Blinder and Wash: RGBWW Reflectors with Layer Control

The blinder and the wash functions are obtained thanks to 4 large central RGBWW LED reflectors of 100W each, individually controllable in each function through the Advanced Layer Management. This lets you combine color, internal shapes, pixel mapping, and strobe to build complex multi-layer looks from a single fixture. The Warm White LEDs allow the “warm” effect typical of blinders, and the blinder effect can also be obtained using colored LEDs for bolder audience hits.

Optically, the four reflector engines use 31° reflectors and support 31° Beam Mode and 45° Field Mode, making it easy to move between tighter punch and broader coverage. Output is specified at 8458 lm (integrating sphere), with a high-efficiency optical system and four front lenses (Ø 85 mm each).

Modular Clustering for Line-Array Style Builds

Tambora Flash was conceived and developed for combining several product units horizontally and vertically, to obtain clusters that are conceptually like the line arrays of audio systems. Its core unit is suitable for smaller venues and is contained in a modular design that can be quickly connected to create larger units for use in big venues and stadiums.

Claypaky Tambora Flash offers two quick coupling modes and the adjustment of each single fixture within the cluster on a 30° angle, helping you aim each unit precisely for audience, stage wash, or architectural effects.
