MA Lighting grandMA2 Light - 8GB

The MA Lighting grandMA2 Light (8GB) is a professional lighting control console built for programming and running conventional fixtures, moving lights, LEDs, video, and media. Designed for fast, hands-on operation, it supports complex show workflows with extensive playback control and deep programming capability, and it is ideally suited as a backup device for the grandMA2 full-size.

Designed for Programming and Playback

The grandMA2 light can handle an almost infinite number of presets, cues, pages, sequences and effects, helping you build detailed looks and execute them reliably during rehearsals and live shows. With 15 motorized executor faders plus motorized A/B faders (100mm), it is well-suited to busking, timecoded playback, and layered cueing where tactile control and consistent recall matter.

Session Output and Expansion

For systems that need room to grow, the console offers 4,096 HTP-/LTP parameters and supports real-time control for up to 65,536 parameters per session when used in connection with an MA NPU (equivalent to 256 DMX universes). Six DMX outputs make it practical for standalone output or for integrating into a broader networked grandMA2 session.

Operator-Friendly Screen and Hardware Layout

Two internal 15.4 inch WXGA wide-mode touchscreens provide clear programming and playback views, and you can connect up to two external TFT screens (UXGA, touchscreens accepted) for additional workspace. An internal 9 inch SVGA multi-touch command screen supports quick navigation and editing, while the integrated keyboard drawer keeps text entry and data management close at hand.

Connectivity and Touring Practicalities

Connectivity includes two Ethercon connectors and five USB 2.0 ports for common show peripherals and data workflows. A built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) helps protect against brief power interruptions, and the motorized monitor wing supports flexible ergonomic setups in FOH or backstage environments.
