The small form, commercial-grade BrightSign LS424 Player is built for dependable digital signage playback in simple streaming applications and large deployments of shared content. With network connectivity, H.265 support, and smooth 1080p60 video playback, it is a practical choice for menu boards, retail signage, corporate displays, and other always-on environments where centralized updates and consistent playback matter.
Video Playback and Streaming
The LS424 supports H.265 decoding, helping reduce file sizes and bandwidth requirements compared to H.264 while maintaining image quality. It also supports HDR10 and HLG for compatible content and displays. For streaming workflows, IP streaming support allows you to play streaming media, making it easier to deliver live or frequently updated content without swapping local files.
HTML5 and Multi-Zone Layouts
For content beyond video, the LS424 includes entry-level HTML5 support with a hardware-accelerated engine designed to play modular HTML assets alongside high-bitrate video. Zones let you combine multiple content types on a single screen, such as a video area with text, data, or images running simultaneously. AutoWall uses HTML5 to create multimedia video walls, and synchronized playback supports video wall configurations across multiple displays.
Interactivity, Live Data, and Deployment Tools
USB (type C) interactivity and interactive ports support triggered playback from a wide range of interactive devices, useful for kiosks and touch-driven experiences. Live feeds can incorporate Live Data, Live Text, MRSS, Twitter, Flickr, and more. For managing fleets, BrightSign Network features include tagging for targeted content distribution, networking for updates, management and scheduling, remote snapshot for viewing a current playback image, sign preview in BrightAuthor, and B-deploy for deploying many players at once. Updates can also be made with the BrightSign App using an iOS device.
Wireless Options and Location-Based Playback
BrightBeacon enables two-way Bluetooth/Beacon communication between mobile devices and signage (requires wireless/Bluetooth module). Geo-fencing can trigger playback based on location (requires USB dongle, not included).
