The Vari-Lite VL6000 Beam is a high-output beam and image projection fixture designed to deliver a retro searchlight look for arena, concert, and large-venue applications. It features a large 356mm (14-inch) front aperture with an exclusive ellipsoid reflector array system that produces a tight, collimated shaft of light at 6.4°, exceeding 55,000 lumens for strong mid-air presence and long throws.

Beam Control and Projection Effects

An aerial beam and image projection system with a variable iris lets you tighten the look from 6.5° down to near 1°, making it easy to shift from a wide, punchy beam to a narrow searchlight-style spike. Mid-air and projected images are supported via 7 interchangeable, fully rotatable and indexable gobos, and the dedicated focus channel helps fine-tune edge sharpness and image appearance based on throw distance and atmospheric conditions.

Color System for Fast Programming

Color options include 18 direct colors from three color wheels, plus color mixing for up to 55 full color combinations and split-color effects. The exclusive cloaked transition generator system can create auto-timed fades between color combinations, helping reduce programming time when building smooth color transitions. A static dynamic color system allows the VL6000 Beam to maintain its highest output at all times.

Its lightweight, robust construction and compact design make transport and installation easier, while the weather-guarded design provides limited protection from rain for added flexibility in real-world event environments. Dimensions are 25.94 x 23.80 x 24 inches, and weight is 61.5 lbs (28 kg).
