The ETC Net3 Remote Video Interface (RVI) is a 2U, 19 inch rack-mountable device that adds remote video and local programming capability to Eos- and Cobalt-family control systems. It is designed for situations where you want a compact rack solution at FOH, backstage, or in a dimmer room, while keeping full access to the console’s programming tools.
Front-Panel Control and Status
Controls on the front of the unit include the power switch, USB port and 20 buttons for frequently-used functions. These buttons have default mapping specific to the Eos or Cobalt product lines, reflecting commonly used features for the designer or assistant designer. Eos-family products provide the ability to easily reprogram these keys for individual requirements. Four front-panel LED status indicators provide at-a-glance system feedback during setup and operation.
Video and Display Support
The RVI supports two external Windows 7-compatible high-resolution monitors that can also be touch- or multi-touch screens. This dual-monitor support is ideal for expanding workspace, for example keeping live and blind displays visible at the same time, or separating patch and playback views during programming.
USB Expansion and Programming Workflow
An alpha-numeric keyboard and/or pointing devices can be connected to the RVI to provide remote programming capability using the Eos/Cobalt keyboard shortcuts. X-Keys can also be attached via USB. When using the RVI with an Eos-family system, Net3 Radio Focus Remotes (RFR), Universal Fader Wings, Eos Motorized Fader Wings 10 and 20 and the Eos Programming Wing can also be attached via USB.
System Compatibility
Built for local control or synchronization with Eos- and Cobalt-family control systems, the RVI provides access to all programming functions in a space-efficient 2U rack enclosure, making it a practical choice for distributed programming stations and remote video locations.
