ROBE ROBIN BMFL Spot

The ROBE ROBIN BMFL Spot is a high-output moving head spot fixture built for professional concert touring, theatre, and large-scale event lighting where long throw, tight optics, and layered aerial effects matter. With a custom Robe light source delivering 250,000 lux at 5 metres, it is designed to cut through bright stages and maintain punch across large venues, while still offering a compact footprint and a touring-friendly weight of 36 kg.

A road case is included. These fixtures may show signs of heavy wear but are in good working condition.

Output and optics for long-throw work

The lamp produces light at a CRI of 90, this combined with a refined optical system and 5 to 55 degree zoom, results in a crisp, high quality fat beam that is truly homogenised and without a hotspot. Motorized zoom and focus make it easy to shift from tight aerial looks to wider stage coverage without compromising edge definition.

Color control and white calibration

The BMFL Spot includes full CMY color mixing (cyan, magenta, yellow: 0 to 100 percent) plus variable CTO from 2,700 to 6,000 K for dialing in tungsten-to-daylight whites and matching other fixtures on the rig. Two color wheels expand the palette with fixed and replaceable dichroic filters, including options for CTB and minus green correction to help tune white output as lamps age.

Gobos, graphics, prisms, and aerial effects

For projection and texture, there are two rotating gobo wheels, each with six slot and lock gobo positions. The Dual Graphic Wheel system uses two animation discs in the same focal plane with independent movement and rotation, enabling subtle motion effects and layered textures that read well in haze. Two rotating and indexable prisms (6-facet circular and 6-facet linear) add beam multiplication for impactful mid-air looks.

Beam shaping and performance controls

Fast, show-ready control is handled by a separate dual blade shutter system with variable strobe up to 10 Hz and full blackout, paired with an optimized dual blade dimmer system for smooth fades. A motorized, stepless iris supports pulse effects up to 3 Hz for rhythmic beam hits, and variable frost options (light, medium, heavy) make it quick to soften edges or build broader atmospheric looks.
