Offering an output of 20,000 Lumens, the ADJ Focus Spot 7Z is a powerful and feature-packed moving head spot luminaire capable of producing spot and wash effects. Its efficient 420W LED light engine and superior optics allow the fixture to deliver crisp and even projections, while a deep set of onboard beam-shaping tools gives designers fast, repeatable looks for concerts, theaters, houses of worship, and event production.

Optics and Beam Control for Spot-to-Wash Flexibility

The motorized zoom range of 6° to 48° helps the Focus Spot 7Z shift from tight aerial beams to wider coverage without changing fixtures. Motorized focus keeps gobos and edges sharp across throws, and the motorized iris provides additional control for tightening the beam or building precise mid-air and surface effects. Two frost filters (light and heavy) can soften the output to transition from defined spot looks into smoother wash-style textures when needed.

Color Mixing, CTO, and Filter Options

For quick matching to cameras, set pieces, and ambient sources, the fixture provides full CMY color mixing with variable CTO from 2,700K to 8,000K. A dedicated color wheel adds seven dichroic slots, including High CRI and CTB filters, plus CMY and color wheel preset macros for efficient programming and consistent results.

Gobos, Animation, Prisms, and Effects

Two gobo wheels expand pattern variety, with (7) interchangeable rotating-indexing glass gobos on each wheel. An animation wheel (rotatable and indexable) enables moving texture effects for scenery, cyc, or atmospheric looks. For beam multiplication and punchier aerial effects, the Focus Spot 7Z includes both 4-facet circular and 6-facet linear rotating prisms, along with electronic dimming and strobe from 1 to 20Hz.

Control, Networking, and Integration

The Focus Spot 7Z supports DMX512, ArtNet, and sACN, with three DMX channel modes (30, 34, or 45) to fit different console workflows. It is RDM compliant for remote addressing and status reporting, and includes Aria X2 Wireless Management/DMX support for compatible wireless setups. Connectivity includes 5-pin XLR DMX In/Out and RJ45 In/Out, plus locking power connections. A 6-button touch control panel and full color 180° reversible LCD menu display simplify configuration whether the fixture is floor-mounted, truss-mounted, or hung in a permanent install.
