The Martin MAC Quantum Profile is an extremely bright LED moving-head profile fixture designed for crisp gobo projection on surfaces and strong mid-air presence. It combines a flat, high-contrast field with fast, smooth CMY color mixing, making it a practical choice for concerts, touring rigs, theaters, houses of worship, and corporate events where clean beams, accurate color, and repeatable cues matter.

With the integrated Animotion FX system for beam animation and a full profile-feature toolset, this fixture is positioned as the first real 700/800 W discharge lamp replacement in a profile light that effectively harnesses LED technology while maintaining consistent photometric performance.

Color, Optics, and Beam Control

Dial in looks quickly with CMY color mixing (0 to 100% independently variable) plus a color wheel with 6 color filters and open. A 1:3 motorized zoom and motorized focus with zoom-focus tracking help keep projections sharp across changing throws. Beam shaping tools include an iris (0 to 100%) with pulse effects, an electronic shutter with variable-speed regular and random strobe, and a rotating three-facet prism for added texture and punch.

Gobos and Projection Effects

For pattern work, the fixture includes both rotating and static gobo wheels. The rotating gobo wheel offers 6 interchangeable gobos plus open, with wheel rotation, gobo rotation, indexing, and shake. The static gobo wheel provides 10 gobos plus open, with indexing, rotation, and shake for classic breakup, scenic texturing, and logo-style looks.

Movement, Control, and Rigging Practicality

Fast movement and effects are supported by 540° pan and 268° tilt, with pan and tilt speed adjustable via the onboard control panel and DMX. Electronic dimming includes four dimming curve options for smoother fades and cue matching. The compact design and low weight help when space, trim height, and load limits are a concern.
