The Extron DVI DA2 is a DVI distribution amplifier with two outputs for sending one single link DVI signal to multiple displays or downstream devices. It distributes identical, fully digital video signals, making it a practical choice for conference rooms, classrooms, digital signage, and control rooms where one source needs to appear reliably on more than one screen.

Reliable DVI Signal Distribution

Designed for consistent performance at higher resolutions, the DVI DA2 supports computer video up to 1920x1200, including HDTV 1080p/60 and 2K. Automatic input cable equalization helps maintain image integrity over longer cable runs, up to 100 feet (30 meters) at 1920x1200/8-bit color when used with Extron DVI Pro cables.

EDID and DDC Support for Clean Handshakes

The DVI DA2 provides DDC (Display Data Channel) routing to the local output, allowing EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) handshaking. EDID information passes from the local output display to the source device, ensuring proper video output and reliable display of material. Other outputs follow reference information provided by the device connected to the local output, which helps reduce setup issues when connecting mixed display types.

Connectivity, Power, and Installation

The unit uses a DVI-I connector for the input and two DVI-I connectors for the outputs. It also provides +5 VDC, 250 mA power on each output for external peripheral devices. The DVI DA2 is built in a rack-mountable 1U, half rack width metal enclosure, making it easy to integrate into equipment racks, lecterns, or AV carts.
