NEW GLP Impression X5 Compact

The GLP impression X5 Compact is a compact RGBL LED moving head wash designed for high-output stage, broadcast, and event lighting where clean color mixing and fast, flexible beam control matter. Using 7 x 40 W RGBL LEDs, it delivers an impressive 3,980 lm output with expanded color gamut, while maintaining consistent, flattering whites for cameras and audiences.

Color accuracy and repeatable white light

GLP’s iQ.Gamut calibration algorithm ensures the impression X5 Compact creates clean white points with CRI 90 at 6,500 K and the ability to switch to other fixed color temperatures instantly, all calibrated exactly to the black body line. For quick matching across rigs and venues, it supports multiple CCT options (default 6,500 K, plus 8,000 K, 5,600 K, 4,200 K, and 3,200 K), along with Magenta/Green Correction and Color Quality Control for fine-tuning on stage or on camera. A virtual color wheel with 64 referenced LEE Filters adds fast, familiar color selection without swapping physical media.

Wide zoom range for tight beams to full washes

With new super-fast zoom mechanics, the impression X5 Compact offers a 16:1 range running from 3.5° to 60° with homogenous light distribution across its entire range. In practice, this makes it equally at home as a punchy, narrow-beam effect from trims or as a wide, even wash for stage coverage, scenic lighting, and up-lighting.

Pixel mapping-ready look and built-in effects

A new front face with a circular design offers a fresh modern look, a round aperature and has been designed to include geometric patterns for great looking Pixel mapping effects. The fixture also includes a Tungsten Simulation and Effect Channel and a double layer effect option, giving you quick ways to add warmth, texture, and movement without external accessories.

Rig-friendly design and flexible control

Featuring GLP’s trademark baseless design, the impression X5 Compact weighs just 7.5 kg (16.6 lbs), helping reduce rig load while staying easy to handle during load-in. Its design also allows static front accessories to be attached. Control is available via DMX, ArtNet, or sACN, and the fixture can be set up using Near Field Control, making it convenient for modern networked lighting systems and fast addressing workflows.
