The Christie DS+6K Projector is a SXGA+ large venue projector designed for bright, detailed projection in event, staging, and installation environments. With up to 6,500 ANSI Lumens (5,500 Lumens in Eco) and a native resolution of 1400x1050 in a 4:3 (SXGA+) format, it is well suited for presentations, live production graphics, and video playback where high brightness and clear text matter.

Performance for Large Rooms and Event Workflows

Built around a 3-chip DLP light engine (DLP x 3) with a 2,000:1 full on/off contrast ratio and 8-bit color processing, the DS+6K is intended to deliver consistent image performance with less visible pixel structure in typical viewing conditions. It supports common video formats including 720p, 1080i, and 1080p/60, plus standard definition signals (480i/480p), making it a practical choice when you need to accommodate a mix of sources.

Flexible Positioning and Integration

The unique projector lens has the ability to be shifted to allow greater flexibility in positioning the projector relative to the screen. For system integration and control, the connection panel includes DVI digital input, RGB in via BNC, composite (RCA), S-Video, network (RJ-45), and dual RS232 (DB-9pin x 2), supporting both direct connections and installed control environments.

Lamp, Power, and Physical Requirements

This is a lamp-based projector that uses a 1,000W Xenon bulb rated for 1,500 hours of lamp life. Power consumption is 1,600 Watts with a 100V to 240V input range. The chassis measures 12.30" x 26.00" x 22.30" (HxWxD) and weighs 72.0 lbs, which is typical for large venue projection, so plan for appropriate mounting, rigging, or cart-based deployment.
