Martin ELP CL (Color) LED ellipsoid fixtures deliver the class-leading luminance, output and vivid color rendering that you’ve come to expect from Martin. Built for theatrical, broadcast, and live-event front light and specials, the ELP CL pairs a high-output LED engine with precise ellipsoidal beam control, making it a practical upgrade path from traditional lamp-based ERS fixtures while reducing lamp maintenance.

Output, Color, and Dimming Control

The RGBAL Luxeon Rebel LED engine (91 LEDs total) produces vibrant, saturated color mixing and accurate whites across a 2000 to 10000K color temperature range. For repeatable looks and fast programming, the fixture includes 26 color presets designed to match industry-standard color filters. 16-bit dimming with four selectable curves helps smooth fades on camera and on stage, and flicker-free operation with adjustable PWM (600 to 2400 Hz) supports a wide range of capture settings.

Faster, More Precise Focus

Ergonomic Danish engineering offers advances in lighting functionality that include the highly efficient gear-based Fine Focus, an industry first; and Fast Focus which allows focusing of the fixture without data flowing to it. This design speeds up bench focus and touch-ups during hang and focus, especially in venues where data is patched late or fixtures are addressed after focusing.

Lens Tubes and Accessory Compatibility

ELP fixtures can be configured with one of four Martin lens tubes in 19, 26, 36 and 50-degree beam angles and are compatible with third-party lens tubes along with a wide range of accessories including gel frames and gobos for flexibility in lighting design and inventory management. ELP Zoom Lenses expand the versatility of the line with two industry-standard beam ranges available in 15-30 degree and 25-50 degree beam ranges.

Connectivity and Standards

For integration into modern control systems, the fixture supports DMX and stand-alone operation, with 1, 10, or 17 DMX channel modes, addressing via the onboard OLED control panel, or remotely via RDM. DMX compliance is USITT DMX512-A, and RDM compliance is ANSI/ESTA E1.20. Connectivity includes 5-pin DMX/RDM and Neutrik True1 In/Thru for streamlined power distribution.

Construction and Rigging Details

The die-cast aluminum housing is finished in black and rated IP20 for indoor use. The body-only dimensions are 648 mm (25.5 in.) long by 259 mm (10.2 in.) wide by 254 mm (10 in.) high, or 427 mm (16.8 in.) with bracket, with a body-only weight of 7.7 kg (17 lbs). Gobo support accommodates A size (100 mm OD, 75 mm image) and B size (86 mm OD, 64.5 mm image) patterns (gobo holder not included), and the color frame size is 159 x 159 mm (6.25 x 6.25 in.).
