NEW Ayrton Bora 750W LED Beam & Wash

The NEW Ayrton Bora 750W LED Beam & Wash is a feature-packed moving-head wash luminaire built to help lighting designers shape atmosphere with precision and consistency. Fitted with a 178 mm spherical front lens, Bora uses a proprietary optical system with 13 high-quality lenses developed specifically for wash applications. The result is an extremely uniform, flat beam with no hot spot, delivering a perfectly homogeneous colour mix regardless of the colour combination selected.

Optics and Beam Control for Wash Applications

Bora features a high-resolution 13-element optical system with an 8:1 zoom ratio, providing a wide zoom range from 8° to 64°. Fast, motorised linear zoom makes it easy to move between tight beams and wide coverage during programming or live operation. Tempered, anti-reflective coated lenses support efficient output and clarity across the zoom range.

Two Versions to Match Output and Colour-Critical Needs

BORA comes in two versions, each to meet the specific requirements of lighting professionals. BORA-S is designed for scenic applications. It is equipped with a new LED module calibrated at 8000 K, delivering powerful metallic white light with record-breaking output of 40,000 lumens. Devised specifically for applications that require perfect colour reproduction, BORA-TC is equipped with an entirely new LED module using a monochromatic light source calibrated at 7000 K with a native colour rendering index greater than 90, and extremely high TM30 readings. 

For specification reference, Bora-S uses a 60,000 lumens 8000 K white light engine with total luminaire output up to 40,000 lumens (colour temperature output 6800 K, CRI > 70). Bora-TC uses a 48,000 lumens 7000 K white light engine with total luminaire output up to 31,000 lumens (colour temperature output 6000 K, CRI > 90). Rated life (L70) is up to 40,000 hours.

Colour, Gobos, and Texture

A sophisticated colour system provides CMY colour mixing plus variable CTO colour temperature correction for smoother matching across rigs and camera environments. Two fixed colour wheels (six complementary colours each) expand palette options. For beam texture and breakup, Bora includes an indexable rotating gobo wheel with six gobos plus open position, with adjustable-speed rotation in both directions (gobo diameter 34.3 mm, image diameter 25.0 mm). A fast iris diaphragm supports dynamic effects with a 15% to 100% range, and a 0% to 100% variable linear frost allows quick transitions from defined to softened wash.

Motion, Dimming, and Video-Friendly Operation

High-resolution stepper motors controlled via microprocessors are designed for smooth movement and extremely accurate positioning. Pan and tilt include automatic repositioning, with a moving-head range of 540° pan and 270° tilt, and operation via either 8-bit or 16-bit resolution. An electronic dimmer enables 0% to 100% adjustment without colour variation, while strobe speed is adjustable from 1 to 25 flashes per second. Flicker-free sources management makes Bora suitable for TV applications and video-recorded events.
