The Chauvet Professional Rogue R1X Wash is a bright, versatile RGBW LED moving head wash with zoom, built for touring rigs and permanent installations that need fast movement, smooth fades, and reliable color mixing. Powered by seven 25 W quad-color (RGBW) LEDs and a unique “bubble” lens design, it delivers excellent color rendering and strong color blending for both clean washes and more textured, eye-catching looks.

Zoom, Output, and Beam Control

Rogue R1X Wash distinguishes itself by offering a combination of performance features unique to its price class. Its motorized zoom spans 11° to 48° (field angle), giving you the flexibility to punch through as a tighter wash or open up for wider stage coverage without changing fixtures. Output is rated at 4,000 source lumens and 2,900 output lumens, with illuminance of 3,280 lux at 5 m (11°) and 293 lux at 5 m (48°), useful reference points when planning spacing and trim heights.

Color Mixing and Fade Quality

Seven RGBW LEDs (25 W each) support standalone color mixing, plus color temperature presets across a 2800 to 10000 K range for quickly dialing in warmer or cooler white tones. For camera-friendly operation and smoother transitions, the fixture offers 16-bit dimming on the master dimmer and individual colors, along with six distinct dimming modes so you can match the response to the show style and programming preference. PWM frequency is 1200 Hz.

Movement, Strobe, and Show Control

Fast, smooth pan and tilt movement helps the Rogue R1X Wash keep up with dynamic looks, with pan/tilt of 540°/230° and selectable ranges (180°, 360°, 540° pan and 90°, 180°, 230° tilt). Electronic shutter/strobe effects run from 0 to 20 Hz, and built-in automated programs provide standalone options when you need quick looks without a console.

DMX, RDM, and Rigging Practicality

Integration is straightforward with both 3-pin and 5-pin DMX input/output connections and simple or complex DMX channel profiles, letting you choose between quick setup or deeper control. The fixture is RDM enabled for remote addressing and troubleshooting, and the easy-to-read OLED display keeps on-fixture setup fast and clear. It also includes a selectable LED maximum output mode designed to match legacy Rogue R1 Washes, helping maintain consistency when mixing fixtures in the same rig.
