NEW ETC Gio @5 Console, 4096 Outputs brings the high-end control of the larger Eos family consoles to venues with tighter spaces or tighter budgets. This portable lighting control console packs the control necessities into a compact footprint, so external monitors and accessories are optional. The console features the same full-function, backlit keyboard as the Eos Programming Wing and Gio console, providing an easy transition for experienced Eos users looking for a smaller desk, and a good platform for new programmers building skills that scale up.

Professional Eos Workflow in a Compact Console

Built for real-world programming and playback, Gio @5 supports 32,768 control channels and 4,096 outputs, giving you the capacity to run multi-universe rigs with room to grow. It also supports up to 99 discrete users with partitioned control, which is useful for shared venues, educational environments, or any workflow where multiple operators need clearly defined access.

Hands-On Playback and Touchscreen Control

For tactile show control, the console includes a master playback pair with motorized 60mm faders, plus five 60mm motorized faders across 200 pages. These can be configured for cue lists, submasters, grand masters, IFCB Palette/Presets lists, or individual instances to match the way your venue runs shows. A built-in 18.5 inch multi-touch LCD touchscreen supports display, direct selection, and context-sensitive control, while the Central Information Area (CIA) provides tools such as an electronic alpha keyboard, Hue + Saturation color picker, gel picker, browser, and other controls.

Flexible Parameter Control, Palettes, and Effects

Gio @5 includes four force-feedback encoders for non-intensity parameter control, along with a configurable high-density channel display with format and flexi-channel modes. It supports four discrete palette types (IFCB), with presets functioning as an “all palette” option for faster building and recall. Effects provide dynamic relational and absolute progressive behavior, and the console supports user-designed, interactive magic sheets for building venue-specific layouts. For advanced color workflows, it provides up to six abstract color spaces, plus tinting, spectrum, and fade path tools.

Networking, Protocols, and Show Compatibility

Designed for modern networks and mixed systems, Gio @5 supports ETCNet2 and Net3 (powered by ACN), ArtNet, and Avab UDP output protocols. Connectivity includes two individually configurable Ethernet ports, along with multiple MIDI and/or SMPTE TimeCode inputs, MIDI In and Out, analog/serial inputs, and OSC transmit/receive for integration with show control and external devices. It also offers a virtual media server function for pixel-mapped effects, images, and animations.

Import, Training, and Multi-Language Support

For easier upgrades and cross-platform workflows, the console supports show import from Obsession, Express, Expression, Emphasis, Congo, Cobalt, Grand MA1, Grand MA2, Safari, and Strand 500/300 Series. Multi-language support includes English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), helping standardize operation across diverse teams.
