The MA Lighting grandMA2 Full-Size is a flagship lighting control console designed for programming and real-time playback of conventional fixtures, moving lights, LED rigs, and media from a single platform. Built for touring, broadcast, and large venue workflows, it combines deep parameter capacity with hands-on control, fast access to commands, and a layout that supports long programming sessions.

Designed for Large-Scale Shows and Complex Rigs

The grandMA2 full-size represents MA Lighting's most powerful console and offers the control of conventional light, moving lights, LED fixtures and media from on one platform.

For shows that demand large universes and detailed fixture control, the console supports 8,192 HTP/LTP parameters and can scale up to 65,536 parameters per session when used in connection with an MA NPU (equivalent to 256 DMX universes). This makes it well-suited for multi-stage festivals, arena tours, and installations where cue stacks, effects, and fixture counts quickly add up.

Hands-On Control, Fast Programming, and Consistent Layout

Equipped with the most up-to-date technology and even some special features (e.g. keyboard drawer and multi-touch command screen), the grandMA2 is suitable for all lighting segments and supplies an intuitive and fast control of all connected fixtures and channels.

The interface is built around an operator-friendly screen and executor workflow, with three internal 15.4" WXGA touchscreens plus a 9" SVGA multi-touch command screen. For expanded visual space, two external TFT screens can be connected (UXGA, touchscreens accepted), which is helpful when separating programming, playback, and fixture views across displays.

Playback control is streamlined with 30 motorized executor faders, 2 motorized A/B faders (100 mm), and a motorized monitor wing. Keys are individually backlit and dimmable, with silent (clickless) operation to reduce noise in theaters, studios, and FOH positions.

Connectivity, Outputs, and Touring-Ready Hardware

Integrated hardware features include 6 DMX outputs, 2 etherCON connectors, and 5 USB 2.0 connectors for flexible show control integration and peripheral support. A built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) adds protection against brief power interruptions, helping keep sessions stable during live use.

Showfile Compatibility and Flexible Programming

Moreover grandMA 'series 1'-showfiles can be converted to be used with the grandMA2. And for yet easier operation, all command keys can be found in the same place on every console of the grandMA2 series. The grandMA2 offers extremely flexible and comfortable ways of programming, including nearly infinite numbers of presets, cues, pages, sequences and effects.

For users expanding their system, the grandMA2 fader wing provides up to 60 extra motorized executor faders for an almost unlimited number of pages.
