Pathway PWPP Pathport Wall Mount DMX Gateway is a wall-mount, two-port DMX/RDM Ethernet gateway designed for permanent installation, letting you connect DMX512 control devices and move lighting data reliably over an Ethernet network to DMX512-capable end devices such as intelligent fixtures, LEDs, dimmers, and more.

Built for Permanent, Wall-Mount DMX Distribution

The Pathport series of DMX/RDM Ethernet Gateways are the heart of DMX distribution. The Wall-mount 2-Port is the original and most popular Pathport Gateway. It is suitable for flush-mount or permanent installation, in an attractive Matte Black finish, and fits a standard 2-gang, deep backbox.

Flexible Protocol Support and Advanced Patching

Designed for modern networked lighting systems, this gateway supports sending and receiving multiple Ethernet lighting protocols, including Pathway ssACN (Secure sACN), E1.31 streaming ACN (sACN), Art-Net, Pathport Protocol, and ShowNet. Different Ethernet protocols may be merged together and prioritized, which is useful when combining data from multiple controllers, media servers, or architectural sources on the same network.

Advanced features include extensive protocol support, slot-by-slot patching using multiple sources, cross-fading on priority change, and signal loss behavior. DMX output can be configured as whole universes or as a custom slot-by-slot patch, and you can map up to eight control sources to each output slot with merge and/or priority options per source.

DMX/RDM Control, Status at a Glance

For commissioning and troubleshooting, the front panel LCD provides instant confirmation of DMX port and network link status. The backlit LCD displays device name, network link status, and DMX Port information. The unit can also act as an E1.20 RDM controller when used with free Pathscape configuration software or ANSI E1.33 RDMnet compliant controllers.

Power and Technical Details

The gateway operates on Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) or an auxiliary 24-48VDC input. It uses a 10Mbps Ethernet port (PoE) and is rated as a PoE Class 1 device, with 4W maximum power consumption on the 24-48VDC auxiliary power input. Output behavior is configurable, including user-set DMX output speed and signal loss behavior.
