The NEW Pathway PWPP Pathport Portable DMX Gateway is a compact DMX-over-Ethernet node designed to place a reliable DMX512 output exactly where you need it, on a truss, pipe, or temporary rig. Use it to connect DMX512 control devices and send data over an Ethernet network to DMX512-capable end devices such as intelligent lighting fixtures, LEDs, dimmers, and more.

Built for portable DMX distribution

The Pathport series of DMX-over-Ethernet Gateways are the heart of DMX distribution. This portable 1-port model is ideal when a small, easily movable DMX port is needed for touring, events, rental systems, and fast-changing setups. The rugged aluminum housing keeps the gateway lightweight while standing up to frequent handling.

Network protocol support and flexible output control

On the network side, the gateway supports multiple widely used protocols, including Pathway ssACN (SecuresACN), E1.31 streamingACN (sACN), Art-Net, Pathport Protocol, and ShowNet, over a 10 Mbps Ethernet port. On the output side, the single DMX port can be configured as whole universes or custom slot-by-slot patching, which is useful for distributing only the channels you need to a specific location on the rig.

For systems with multiple inputs, you can map up to eight control sources to each output slot and set merge and/or priority behavior per source. LED indicators provide at-a-glance confirmation of DMX status and Ethernet link activity.

RDM and configuration options

The PWPP can act as an E1.20 RDM controller when used with the free Pathscape configuration software or ANSI E1.33 RDMnet compliant controllers. You can also tailor performance for your system with user-configurable DMX output speed and signal loss behavior.
