NEW ROBE ROBIN iSpiiderX

The Robe ROBIN iSpiiderX is an IP65-rated, high-performance LED WashBeam moving head built for festivals, concerts, outdoor events, and any production where weather resistance and consistent output matter. Based on the established Spiider platform, it combines rugged iSeries construction with a minimalist, tour-friendly design that weighs only 19 kg, while the active RAINS protection system helps safeguard the fixture’s internal environment in changing conditions.

Outdoor-ready design with active protection

Designed for environments prone to rain, dust, and temperature swings, the iSpiiderX uses the Robe Automatic Ingress Neutralization System (RAINS) to actively monitor humidity, temperature, and pressure. When moisture is detected inside the fixture, RAINS automatically removes it to protect the internal micro-climate and support dependable performance over long outdoor runs.

For cold-weather shows and winter installations, POLAR+ technology maintains internal operating temperature levels down to minus 50 degrees centigrade with minimal power consumption. The luminaire also performs an on-call self-pressure test in under 3 minutes to help detect issues such as gasket placement errors or insufficient cover tightening before they become a problem on site.

LED engine, pixel control, and wide zoom range

The iSpiiderX keeps the core light engine concept of the original Spiider, using 18 × 40W RGBW LED multichips plus a central 1 × 60W RGBW LED multichip source. You can run RGBW or CMY mixing, with individual control of each RGBW pixel for pixel mapping, chases, waves, and pulses.

Its 12.5:1 zoom optical system provides a versatile range from a tight 4° beam to a wide 50° wash, making it suitable for punchy aerial looks, broad stage washes, and fast transitions between the two without changing fixtures.

MCFE flower effect and built-in looks

The fixture’s signature look comes from the patented MCFE (Multi-Coloured Flower Effect), driven by the 60W centre source to create vivid, rotating multi-coloured spikes of light in the air, with bidirectional rotation and variable speed. A colour rainbow effect (variable speed), pre-programmed pixel effects, and electronic strobe effects up to 20 Hz (including random strobe and pulse programs) support quick show building as well as detailed, cue-based programming.

For repeatable colour workflow, the onboard DataSwatch colour library provides 66 premixed colours and tones, including commonly used whites. Variable CCT spans 2.700K to 8.000K, and tungsten lamp emulation offers 750W, 1.000W, 1.200W, 2.000W, and 2.500W lamp looks for whites from 2.700K to 4.200K, including red shift and thermal delay.

Smooth dimming and camera-friendly operation

High-resolution electronic dimming runs from 0 to 100%, with L3 (Low Light Linearity) providing imperceptible 18-bit dimming for ultra smooth fades to black. For broadcast and IMAG environments, Cpulse flicker-free management is designed for HD and UHD cameras, ready for 8K and 16K capture.

Engineered for quiet operation, the iSpiiderX uses advanced cooling systems and super smooth zoom stepper motors, helping it fit into noise-sensitive environments while maintaining fast, precise zoom performance.

Maintenance-friendly optics and modern connectivity

To support upkeep on the road, the patented EasyClean lens sandwich system simplifies lens removal and cleaning, helping you maintain a dust-free optical path without extended downtime. A non-reflective front lens minimizes distractions, which is especially useful when fixtures are visible to camera or audience sightlines.

NFC (Near-Field Communication) support works with the Robe Com app for setup, diagnostics, and performance features from a mobile device. Over Ethernet networks, REAP (Robe Ethernet Access Portal) supports remote monitoring of fixture performance. The iSpiiderX supports common control workflows, including DMX control desks, media servers via sACN, and Kling-Net for dynamic video effects through pixel mapping. CRMX wireless DMX is supported, and the Epass Ethernet pass-through switch helps maintain network connectivity.

LED life expectancy is rated at minimum 50.000 hours, with typical lumen maintenance listed as L70/B50 @ 50.000 hours.
