The Obsidian Netron EN12 is a high-density Ethernet to DMX gateway designed for live production and permanent installations that need a large number of physical DMX outputs in a compact 19-inch rack format. With twelve RDM compatible ports, it bridges modern lighting networks to DMX fixtures while offering quick setup through integrated presets and deeper control when you need advanced routing.

Network Protocol Support for Modern Lighting Systems

Built for common entertainment and architectural lighting workflows, the EN12 supports Art-Net and sACN for streaming DMX over Ethernet, plus RDM for remote device management on compatible fixtures. This makes it well suited for expanding port count at FOH, dimmer world, truss, or distributed IDF locations, while keeping control on your network.

Routing, Merging, and Playback Tools

Beyond simple node operation, the EN12 includes factory and user presets for plug-and-play configurations, along with customizable routing and merging options to match complex system requirements. It also provides 99 internal cues with fade and delay times, and supports contact closures for cue or preset recall, useful for simple show control triggers or facility-level recalls without needing to touch the console.

Configuration and Power Options

Setup and monitoring are streamlined via the 1.8-inch OLED display with a rotary knob, and remote configuration is available through the unit’s internal webpage. For centralized management and updates, it supports NETRON CLU for remote configuration and firmware updates. Power can be supplied by AC line voltage (100-240V nominal, 50/60 Hz) or PoE 802.3af, offering flexible deployment whether you are building a dedicated rack or a distributed networked system.

Housed in a powder-coated aluminum rackmount chassis, the EN12 is designed for touring and install environments. It unlocks the ONYX NOVA 4 Universe License and has a power consumption of 9W.
