Chauvet Professional COLORado Batten 72X is a powerful IP65 batten-style wash light powered by 72 calibrated RGBWA LEDs, built for touring, rental, and production use indoors or outdoors. The compact, tour-ready unit produces superb color rendering and a wide palette ranging from soft pastels to saturated hues, making it a strong fit for stage washes, cyc and set lighting, and architectural accents when weather resistance matters.

Color Quality and Output for Real-World Rigs

With a tunable color temperature range of 3200 K to 10000 K and onboard color temperature presets, the COLORado Batten 72X can quickly match tungsten-to-daylight looks for live events, broadcast, and theatrical environments. At 3200 K it delivers a CRI of 80, helping maintain consistent skin tones and fabric color when used as a front or side wash. Output is rated at 3,631 lumens with measured illuminance of 1730 lux at 5 m.

Smooth Dimming, Flicker Control, and Effects

For camera-friendly performance and clean fades, the fixture offers 16-bit dimming with five selectable dimming curves, plus selectable PWM options (600 to 25,000 Hz) to help reduce flicker across different frame rates and shutter settings. An electronic shutter and strobe (0 to 25 Hz) supports punchy hits and rhythmic effects, and standalone color mixing with built-in and customizable programs provides quick looks without needing a console for simple setups.

Tour-Ready Build and Mounting Flexibility

Designed for live event, television, and theatrical productions, the aluminum alloy and die-cast housing is sized for easy packing and rigging (39.37 x 6.14 x 2.95 in, 18.6 lb). Integrated trunnions accommodate clamps for vertical or horizontal hanging, and a large, easy-to-navigate display with password protection supports confident setup in rental and multi-operator environments. The installed 24° optics deliver a defined beam (22° x 18°) with a wider field (39° x 34°) for even stage coverage and smooth blending across multiple battens.

Connectivity for Indoor or Outdoor Operation

All-environment operation is supported with IP-rated power and DMX connection, helping streamline deployment in venues, temporary outdoor stages, and weather-exposed locations where standard connectors may be a limiting factor.
