The ARRI 650W Fresnel is ideal for use where compact, lightweight tungsten Fresnel spotlights are required, especially in small studios where grid height is a problem. Its classic ARRI construction uses corrosion-resistant, extruded and die cast aluminum to maximize body strength while maintaining the light weight expected of a location fixture. Despite its small size, the short focal length, wide angle Fresnel lens produces impressive light output with even distribution across the full beam.

Built for Tight Sets and Location Work

When you need a controllable tungsten source but space, rigging height, or payload is limited, the ARRI 650W Fresnel is designed to fit comfortably into compact studio grids and small setups. The fixture weighs 7.2 lbs (3.3 kg), making it easier to place on a stand or move quickly between setups without sacrificing the familiar Fresnel beam quality.

Optics and Lamp System

The 4.3 in (110 mm) low expansion borosilicate Fresnel lens is built to handle the heat of tungsten operation while supporting consistent performance over time. Light is shaped by a spherical specular reflector made from high purity aluminum, helping maintain strong output and smooth coverage. The fixture uses a GY9.5 lampholder, a common base type for 650W tungsten lamps in studio and location lighting workflows.

Mounting and Rigging Options

For stand-based setups, the ARRI 650W Fresnel includes a 5/8 in (16 mm) stand mount. It is also available as a hanging model with a pipe clamp, making it suitable for grid and overhead mounting when your rigging plan calls for a suspended fixture.
