The VARI❋LITE VL1100 ERS luminaire combines the familiar beam control of an ellipsoidal reflector spotlight with the flexibility of an automated profile fixture for theatrical, broadcast, and live event lighting. It pairs a 19° to 36° imaging zoom with a programmable super zoom that reaches 70°, letting you move from crisp, patterned projections to wider coverage without swapping optics. Automated functions include CYM color mixing, rotating gobos (gobos/patterns sold separately), and variable diffusion for softening the field or gobo when you need the fixture to play as a wash.
Designed with noise-sensitive environments in mind, the VL1100 platform uses a 50 kHz motor drive system to reduce audible motor noise both during movement and while static. A central bearing system in the rotating gobo wheel helps ensure smooth, quiet indexing and rotation, and three-phase, ultra quiet stepper motors provide smoother pan and tilt operation.
Framing Control (TSD Model)
The VL1100TSD model adds an automated, four-blade shutter mechanism for the shuttering and framing techniques commonly used with conventional ERS fixtures. Each shutter can translate toward beam center and rotate 35°, and the entire shutter module rotates 45° for fast alignment when shaping light around scenery, screens, or architectural elements.

- Zoom optics: continuously variable field angle from 19 to 36 in the imaging range, plus programmable super zoom angles to 70 over a timed range of 2 seconds to 20 minutes.
- Color mixing: fully cross-fading CYM color system.

- Rotating gobo wheel: six position rotating gobo wheel with a central bearing system, five rotatable and indexable gobo positions plus open. (Patterns are not included with the fixture.)
