With a 700-watt short-arc lamp, strong output, and a wide zoom range, the VL2500 Spot is well suited for mid to large venues that demand both punchy aerial looks and crisp patterns on scenery.

Color, optics, and beam shaping for show-ready looks

The VL2500 Spot luminaire provides a broad palette of looks using a three-filter CYM cross-fading color mechanism, plus a fixed color wheel with 11 interchangeable color filters and one open position capable of continuous rotation for additional effects. A continuously variable 18.5° to 42° zoom lets you quickly switch between tighter beams and wider coverage, or program smooth zoom transitions over timed ranges from 2 seconds to 20 minutes. For additional control, a mechanical iris provides continuous beam size adjustments, making it easy to tighten the beam for specials or open it up for broader texture.

Gobos, focus, and effects

Create layered textures and animated looks with two gobo systems, including one rotating gobo wheel with five rotatable, indexable gobo positions and one open position, plus one fixed gobo wheel with 11 easily loaded patterns and one open position capable of continuous rotation for additional effects. Variable beam focus lets you sharpen projections for crisp pattern work or soften edges for more atmospheric looks.

Movement and intensity control

For dynamic cues, the fixture delivers smooth, time-controlled continuous motion via three-phase stepper motor systems with a 540° pan and 270° tilt range, and 0.3° resolution for accurate positioning. A coated glass dimmer wheel provides full-field dimming designed for smooth timed fades, and a high-performance dual-blade strobe system supports ultra-fast operation for rhythmic effects and accents.

Each fixture weighs 59.2 lbs (26.9 kg), balancing tour-capable output with a form factor that remains manageable for many production workflows.
