Color Mixing and Beam Control

The VL500 Wash luminaire is based on the award winning VL5 Wash luminaire, but with significant design improvements.  The DichroTune radial color mixing system employs three sets of 16 radially mounted dichroic blades- magenta, blue, and amber- designed to produce a smooth, full spectrum of color cross-fades. For beam shaping, six front lens options and variable diffusion let you adjust coverage and soften edges, making it easier to match different throw distances and stage sizes.

Control and Performance Details

An IGBT dimmer supports smooth fades and strobing, while 540 degree pan and 270 degree tilt provide broad positioning range for dynamic looks. The fixture runs on 120V power with a 14 amp current draw and supports 8 to 13 DMX channels, allowing you to choose a simpler profile or more detailed control depending on your console patch and programming needs.
