1. Do you charge a commission on brokered equipment?
If we DON'T sell your brokered equipment, you pay us NOTHING! However, we do add a commission to your asking price. If we sell your equipment, you will earn the dollar amount of your asking price.
2. Selling brokered equipment: What happens when someone wants to buy my equipment?
Our responsibility to you as a seller: sell your equipment at a fair market value and send your portion of the proceeds to you as quickly and hassle-free as possible. As a seller, you are not responsible for the shipping costs; the buyer will pay for that. Here are the steps of the selling process:

1) In the first step of the process, we collect the money from the buyer, wait for the funds to clear, and hold the money in escrow. We will not ask you to ship the equipment until we have the money secured in our escrow account.

2) We will send you the shipping information as soon as the funds clear. Then, we will have you ship the equipment using the buyer's preferred method. We will need to have you fax proof of shipment to us (for sales tax purposes).

3) After the buyer has received the product, the buyer has 24 hours to inspect the contents of the shipment and notify UsedLighting.com of any problems. If the buyer has not notified UsedLighting.com within 24 hours, then funds will be released to the seller.
3. I just made a change to one of my listings. Why can't I find it on the site now?
All brokered listings are reviewed before they are activated and visible on the site. This includes new listings as well as changes to current listings. We double-check the all of the information in the listings to protect both our buyers and sellers from errors in pricing and other important details. We suggest that you make any changes/additions to your listings Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm PST to ensure the quickest activation.
4. What are the benefits of joining UsedLighting.com?
After joining UsedLighting.com for FREE, you will have a personalized Home Page with exclusive access to the newest product listings and the ability to bookmark products for future reference. You will also be able to list and sell your own used equipment on the site!
5. Can I make purchases online?
Yes. To order products from this website, you simply select the items you want to purchase and add them to your cart. If you have selected a brokered item, your request will be sent to our sales staff who will determine the exact price and make certain the item is still available. If you have questions, please call us TOLL-FREE at: (877) 789-8167. Our experienced staff of lighting professionals will be able to assist you with your purchase.
6. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Master Card, Visa and American Express. We also accept personal or company checks and wire transfers. However, orders will not be shipped until the bank clears the funds.
7. Why are there different warranties?
There is a 5 tiered 4Wall Warranty Structure consisting of a 30-Day, 60-Day, 90-Day, 120-Day, and up to 180-Days (applicable only to our own inventory). Each tier is represented with it's own individual 4Wall Warranty logo. Since all of the equipment we sell from our own inventory is fully tested before it's sold, we lead the industry by offering up to a 6-month 4Wall Warranty. All you have to do is ship it to us and we'll fix it or replace (if available) it for free. The 4Wall Warranty Structure does not apply to brokered items. However, some brokered items will have warranties from the sellers. Please be sure to read all the details.

8. Do you sell New Equipment and Accessories?
Yes, we do carry the leading brands of NEW products as well. We stock everything from Fixtures, Gel, Lamps and other accessories at competitive prices. Please check out our New Equipment section of our website.
9. What does a working lamp mean?
Bulbs that come from our rental department that still work are considered to be "working lamps". Although we don't guarantee the amount of hours of life left, we do guarantee that they work when they leave the shop.
10. Where does the Used Equipment come from?
The majority of the fixtures are from our own rental stock, which is professionally maintained through out its rental life. If we don't have something available, we have working relationships with other leading rental shops in the country. We also have listings from manufacturers of their demo equipment. And now, we also have brokered listings, posted by UsedLighting.com members.
11. Do you take trade-ins of Used Lighting Equipment?
Yes, we do take trade-ins of used equipment towards the value of New or Used Equipment purchases. However, all trade-ins are subject to an inspection and approval process.
12. Do you sell my information to other companies?
Absolutely not! All of the information you provide to UsedLighting.com is strictly for internal use. We never provide your information to outside entities.
13. How do I remove my brokered listing from the site?
To deactivate a listing, log in to your account and edit the listing. Type "DELETE THIS LISTING" as the description, and we will remove it from the site. Please let us know why you are removing your listing (ex. "Sold on my own," "Sold on another site," "Decided to keep," etc.)
